Marlow cruised to victory against a resilient Aylesbury to extend their points advantage in the race for the division two title.

Marlow United bounced back from last weeks defeat with a confident display of football.

Marlow started the livelier of the two teams and found themselves 2 goals ahead within the first fifteen minutes thanks to some positive attacking football from Adam Hazell and Wesley Bobb.

Aylesbury started to recover their composure and made the Marlow defence and central midfield work hard to keep them at bay. Some excellent marking by man of the match Michael Burnett who neutralised the Aylesbury right wing threat.

Starting the second half, Marlow stepped up a gear and played some great passing football and soon got their rewards as Marcus Shallow scored a well taken left foot shot to make it 3 -0. Wesley Bobb then made it 4 with a looping header that beat the outstretched arm of the Aylesbury goalie. And to finish off the scoring Sid Obiorah made an incisive inside run from the left wing to smash a stunning shot in top right corner of the goal.

Aylesbury never gave up and had a late period of pressure coming close on three occasions only to be denied by the Marlow Goalkeeper Charlie Perry who tipped the ball onto the goal post with a string of fine diving saves.

Marlow have worked hard to put themselves in a very strong position to win the division 2 title with only seven games remaining.
