The team worked to the game plan which enabled us to exert our strength over Chiltern who battled hard to stay in the game.
Using Rafa style of player rotation gave us an awesome formation at times , which just saw attack after attack and many exciting goals.

MATCH REPORT
 |
| |
 |
This was an intriguing 2nd round cup tie between the two top teams in the u15 second and fourth divisions. For the first fifteen minutes, it was a frustrating start for Marlow who pressed the Chiltern team back into their own half but the lack of space meant chances were difficult to convert.
It eventually took a penalty to break the deadlock which was converted by Dan Moore after Marcus Swallow had been brought down in the box.
Wesley Bobb scored the second goal by latching onto a good through ball followed by well taken header to make the score 3 - 0.
Then the weather closed in with strong gusting winds and driving rain which made the playing conditions very difficult for both sides and Marlow were further frustrated by a resilient Athletic defence who had a number of counter attacks and came close to scoring on a couple of occasions.
The manager made two 1st half substitutions to bring on Jonathan Liberty and Alex Murray who immediately brought balance and flow back into the Marlow passing game.
After that there was no stopping Marlow as Wesley Bobb scored a further two goals followed by Chris Nelson on a hat-trick and Marcus Swallow with a brace and Aidan Roberts scoring his first competitive goal of the season.
All credit to Chiltern who played their part in ensuring Marlow earned their victory.
The “Flying Blues” can now look forward to a 3rd round home tie at Bisham Abbey on 6th December against Loudwater FC.
