Marlow got off to the best possible start with a goal after 55 seconds as Cholsey failed to clear their lines on 3 occasions and Adam Hazel picked off the loose ball to score the first goal.
Marlow dominated the midfield and it wasn’t long before Wesley Bobb scored the second after Cholsey again failed to clear their lines on three occasions with the Marlow midfield flooding the 18 yard box.
However Cholsey eventually settled and started to play some good counter attacking football and came close on a couple of occasions only being denied by Marlow defender Steve Douglas with an excellent sliding goal line clearance.
The score remained 2 - 0 going into the second half with the Cholsey defenders and midfielders showing some very good organisation to break-up much of the Marlow excellent passing game in the last 3rd of the pitch.
However the deadlock was eventually broken by a well taken corner which allowed Dan Moore to drive in a low shot from outside the penalty area with Wesley Bobb taking a cheeky backfoot shot to score Marlow’s third goal.
Cholsey never gave up and continued to play good football and eventually scored a deserved consolation goal with a well taken lob over the Marlow goalie.
The “Flying Blues” now move onto the 3rd round of the Berks and Buck cup still unbeaten in all cup competitions.
