We where compact and strong in the first half., although in the second half we did a very good job in defensive positions and we won the ball in midfield which allowed us to counter attack.

All players worked hard and substitutions where made to give us the tactical advantage and stretch the game further to our advantage.. Well done lads.

MATCH REPORT

The winning streak continues – 3 wins in 3 games for Marlow United against a well organised and fast Thame team.

Captain Dan Moore opened the scoring in the 1st half with another superb free kick however this was quickly cancelled out by a well taken goal from Thame after Marlow failed to clear their lines.

Marlow applied further pressure and came close twice hitting the cross bar and the upright before striker Adam Hazell eventually took a great through ball around the goal keeper to slip the ball in for the second Marlow goal.

In the second half the score remained 2 -1 for most of the half with both teams evenly matched until Wesley Bobb broke clear into the Thame penalty area to score the 3rd goal.

Substitute Alex Murray split the Thame defence in half with a late header from a fantastic left field cross to score the 4th goal.

Both sides showed great movement and expression to make this a competitive and exciting game to watch.
